Get your Library Card!

Applications to get a library card are available at the library’s main desk.   Applicants must show some form of photo ID, such as a valid driver’s license, and a piece of mail addressed to their current address. The card is accepted at ALL MVLS/SALS libraries in the eight counties of the joint system, subject to that library’s rules and regulations. Patrons ages 16 and over can access a pdf application at https://bit.ly/CardApp16​.  Patrons between the ages of 5 and 15 may get a juvenile card  https://bit.ly/CardAppunder15.  Completed applications can be emailed to schoharielibrary@mvls.info.

Borrowing

Books, magazines, CDs, and audio books may be borrowed for 2 weeks. DVDS may be borrowed by adults only (age 16 and older) for 1 week. The overdue fine for all materials is 10 cents a day to a maximum of $5.00 per item. Materials may be renewed in person or by phone when the Library is open or 24 hours/day logging into your library card account online.  Please ask us how!
